Jamila Gowdy ’21 spent part of her summer conducting geological research in the Gulf of Mexico with her professor and fellow students – something she believes she never could have accomplished at any other school. She explains how, when it comes to intellectual pursuits at F&M, no one tells you, “you can’t do that”.
